1-2-3 Grow With Me-Family Growth Chart

Every parent loves the idea of keeping a growth chart on a doorway, but many don’t think ahead to leaving it behind when/if they ever move. One parent had a brilliant idea to create a modern growth chart that can move with the family.

This natural canvas growth chart is block printed by hand with antique wood block numbers. There’s also block printed inch markings every two inches to help you keep track of just how fast your kids are growing. The prints have been cured to set the ink, so this chart is washable!

The chart measures about 9.5″ X 58″ and is packaged in a keepsake metal box. It is finished with two grommets for hanging. A fabric pen is included with your kit along with twill tape which can be used to hang the chart, and two dowels which slip inside the top and bottom to help the chart hang flat and straight.

What a beautiful keepsake that you and your kids can create and share for years to come.

We recently moved from the home we thought we would be welcoming many generations. Because we never intended to move, while our children were growing up we never thought twice when we were marking our children’s growth in the doorway. Since we have now moved, leaving those milestones in our children’s life was heart breaking. This is such a great idea and a great gift for your friends and family new family addition. Plus, what a great gift to give your child when they grow older.

I did this. I kept marks on the back of a closet door for 3 of our 6 children for 14 years, and then, actually DID ask for the door in the sale contract! I penciled the next 3 children’s growth on a door facing, and then transferred it to tracing paper when we painted.

A suggestion: Someone needs to design a chart for teens. I need a chart that is almost 7 feet tall! AND, it needs to not be juvenile looking. My door facing for the second group of my children included boys that got to be over 6′ 5″. It was cool to see the height of the younger boy in relation to the older boy on the same chart. Still in the market for said chart, or I might design it myself.

:-)
