I’ll be one of the first to tell you that I have no faith in so-called health products that claim to keep you healthy, specifically keeping you from getting colds and flus. I’ve tried a few and all they did was either hold off the cold a few days and then the cold was intensified terribly, or just didn’t work at all. {Cue the angel music} Until I tried Airborne.

I had read many times about how a teacher came up with the formula for Airborne. Victoria Knight-McDowell was a teacher who was trying to find ways to keep from catching her students’ ever present colds and she developed a formula that came to be Airborne.
It was initially sold as a cold prevention product, but because its effectiveness couldn’t be proven through clinical trials, it’s now called a Health Formula. Regardless of what it’s called, I’m a fan for life.
The formula is a combination of vitamins, minerals and some herbs.
I had read about Airborne when it first came out and then I read (and heard) about controversy surrounding if it really worked or not. However, it wasn’t available in Canada so I had no way of trying it myself.
In September 2006, I went to Palm Springs, CA, and I was terrified of catching a cold. I always get sick just before somewhere or just after I’ve arrived. My throat was scratch, so I wasn’t worried for nothing. One of the first things I did was head off to a drugstore to buy some Airborne and I used it as instructed. My scratchy throat went away and I didn’t get sick while I was in California.
Before we came home, I bought a few vials to bring home and used the Airborne every time I felt a cold coming on. And you know what? Since September 2006, I’ve had maybe two colds in all. Two.
When I run out of my Airborne supply, I get friends from the U.S. to either send me some or I pick some up on one of my runs down to New York or Vermont. Just a few weeks ago, I also found out you can order it online and have it delivered. Which I did.
My youngest of three, soon to be 18, also swears by it. The times he doesn’t take Airborne when he feels a cold coming on, he gets it. If he takes the Airborne, it doesn’t come at all or it’s a milder version than his friends get. My daughter also has used it many times.

I love using Airborne too! I remember when it first came out thinking “that’s a little expensive isn’t it”? But, then I tried it for the first time and it was worth every penny.
Ever since then, I try to take it whenever I’m feeling sick or know that I’m going to be around a lot of sick people. It definitely helps a ton.
I am also sceptical of products that claim to be the “cure all.” However, I am a believer of Airborne. Be it a placebo effect or not, I do notice that my cold symptoms decrease if not disappear after taking Airborne. I am a believer and would highly recommend it too.
I have been using Airborne now for almost 13 yrs…when my daughter first introduced it to me back in I think it was “96″ I started taking it in hopes I wouldn’t catch her boys colds..it worked…so before I would leave the house, I drank some Airborne just to be on the safe side.
Well here it is 2009 and I have only gotten a cold once since taking the Airborne and I am happy to say, the cold I caught was short lived because I kept taking the Airborne.
Now before I leave the house, I make sure I take the Airborne so I won’t catch what ever someone else has….so far I’m pretty lucky and I do believe it’s because I am a strong believer in the Airborne.
My family that lives next door all came down with the flu and a bad cold..I never did.
I have told all my friends, including the ones that are skeptical that I am walking proof the Airborne really works, because while those that are skeptical are coughing and coughing…I am not.
Thank you Victoria…I will continue to use your product…keep up the good work!
Sincerely-
Pattie
Airbourne is now available in Canada! Shopper’s Drug Mart is the first place I found it. I love it!
