Momgadet.com is offering our readers the chance to win a copy of Dermatologist Dr. Paul Friedman’s new book “Beautiful Skin Revealed: The Ultimate Guide to Better Skin”
Its embarrassing to admit, but until I turned 40, I never really paid much attention to my skin. Sure, at times I’d use sunscreen and moisturizer, but usually the extent of my beauty regime consisted of soap, water and a bit of make up.
On my 40th birthday I was wondering through the mall looking for a little birthday present, just for me, when I happened by a makeup counter. A lovely lady offered me a free birthday makeover. As I sat in her chair, I had no idea this makeover would bring on a mid-life crisis that would leave me with a cabinet full of bottled promises that cost more than $3000.
It all started with a mirror. I’d seen my face in my mirror everyday and never noticed the age spots, wrinkles, spider veins and sags revealed by her mirror. As I sat in that chair staring at the new ‘old’ me, I was stunned into stupidity. I’d never considered myself old, but by the end of my encounter with her mirror my crisis had begun. I left the store with $800 in creams, exfoliates, and serums determined to repair all damage and regain my youthful glow.
Of course my initial $800 investment was not enough. With billions of dollars spent marketing lotions, potions, cosmetics and surgery, I was bombarded with invitations to try all the latest in youthful regeneration. Try them I did. Some products worked and many disappointed. It wasn’t until I sat down with my dermatologist that I received the right advice.
First she told me to break the mirror and then she told me realistically what would and wouldn’t work for my skin. Getting advice from an expert is what I should have done in the first place. This is why I am excited to offer Momgaget.com readers the opportunity to win a copy of Beautiful Skin Revealed: The Ultimate Guide to Better Skin.

I have puffy eyes. I put my used green tea bags in the freezer and take them out when I need them. They seem to bring down the puffiness within about 10 minutes. This book looks really helpful. Hope I win
