Hi, my name is Denice but friends and family call me Dee so we’ll just go with that. I have a very loving, supportive husband a stepdaughter and the cutest 4 year old granddaughter. In addition to the human members of my family I’m mommy to 2 of the most adorable, sometimes frustrating, always loving puppies Stretch & Ellie.
I was born and raised in the big city of Chicago but I now live in a small town in southeast Alabama and I absolutely love small town life.
I have several interests and hobbies but my favorite are writing, reading and photography. I took photography classes in college and even had my own darkroom for a while but gave that up with the introduction of digital photography and computers. I’m now trying to teach myself computer editing. If anyone has any helpful tips or suggestions I’d be glad to hear them.
In addition to writing for MomGadget I also write several blogs on my own. Weekly Beef is a general blog about my likes, dislikes and anything else I feel like talking about. Sneezes & Wheezes is an educational blog on lung diseases, treatments and therapies. I was a Registered Respiratory Therapist in my past life. My First Steps With Jesus is about my walk in the Christian Faith, TV Chat is a conversational blog about my favorite TV shows. You’re welcome to come and join in the conversation. I’m also trying to start a TV Chat forum and there’s a link to that on the blog. Then there’s I’m Not a Domestic Goddess But I Try. In this one I share my triumphs as well as my failures along the road to achieve Domestic Goddessness. My puppies also have their own blog The Adventures of Stretch & Ellie where they share their adventures and the world through their eyes.
