Digital Scrapbook Artist 2

Kentucky scrap book page

So this is my new hobby …and I like this one even better than the first one …It is a little easier for me.

Remember I’m the not computer savvy person. This program makes it so easy to navigate, create, create. I have had so much fun with this – I got caught up in the fun and almost forgot to share the review.

I couldn’t keep this much fun to myself, so I had my best friend check it out when she came to visit – we wound up spending so much time exploring and creating, before she left she talked about buying the program herself.

It still has most of the same features as the one before. This one has stencils, craft tools and scissors. It’s suitable for all ages and has easy one click sharing. There’s built in photo editing with 300 dpi quality scraps.

There are features that allow you to create your own kits. You can find other free kits from daisy trail. Shown above, I share a picture of my boys from our trip to Kentucky last year. Included in the kit I received, I have a free gift voucher.  There are Five full kits included in box – each one full of beautiful scraps and brilliant materials that I didn’t have to find a place to store when completed my scrapbook art project.

I like that it fits in a  DVD sized box and can be stored with my DVD collection. All right at the tip of my fingers when I need it or when I get a hankering for doing a new project.

What’s even better is storing it on my my computer so I can tinker and play with the program while watching my favorite shows.

Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 is available on Amazon and directly at Serif.com retails for 49.99,  A heck of a lot cheaper then buying all that scrapbooking material at a department store.

That is neat and good for sharing with family. But I still prefer tangible scrapbooking. That really is something I put together and created with my hands.

My pages that I do with DSA are truly something I put together with my hands too. Each element is placed on the page one by one, stacked, cut out, stenciled, glittered, shadowed, etc. etc. etc. Then I can print each page 6 times and place them in my grandchildren’s scrapbooks. The bonus is that all my supplies are on my hard drive! You can buy so many kits or separate papers and elements to do many pages, for so little, compared to several dollars for one page. I don’t think it is fair to say that this is something NOT created with your hands. I have many people touch my pages because they think they have the textures of traditional scrapbooking. I say hooray for anyone who scraps in any way! It is a gift to the next generation!

Another way to conserve paper is to print on both sides of the page. I usually keep a stack of reusable paper on which I can print non-important documents. Once you get used to it, it works great and you would be surprised how much longer your paper will last.
