Festive Holiday Bakeware – A Special Touch to Homemade Treats

by Gayla Baer

Walmart Christmas 2009 products

Each year, during the holiday season, I make it a priority to spend a little extra time in the kitchen honing my culinary skills especially with friends and relatives in mind.

Sounds special, doesn’t it?

Well, I’m not great pastry chef by any stretch. In fact, I’ve often joked about my cooking skills being directly linked to my hillbilly and southern roots.

There was no one on earth that could cook quite the way my grandmother could.

From an early age, I clung to my grandmothers side as she would pour herself into her own holiday treats and baked goods – a tradition that I hope to carry and pass on to my children and grandchildren.

What my grandmother didn’t have however, was beautiful baking dishes that added a special touch to those holiday treats.

This year Walmart introduced me to the festive Mainstay holiday bakeware that’s beautiful and affordable – so much so that I can easily bake those special holiday treats and deliver them in the same dish providing the recipient a collectable piece that will bring them their own memories and joy long after their goodies have been devoured.
