Denise Grier at Freelancing Journey is holding a writing contest this month. In fact, you now have TWO things to look forward to on April 15th and I guarentee this one is much more fun!
You see, turning 52 has sort of got her a bit down so this is her way of reaching out to fellow bloggers for their own stories on aging.
You know how they say misery loves company? Well SO do aging women! You can bet that since I’m fast approaching that big 4-0 this coming July, I’ll be participating in this contest whether I like it or not.
So, who will come age with us?

I just turned 40 a couple weeks ago, it was easier than I thought! I decided as long as I am young at heart I can’t be old.
What a great post, Gayla! I am looking forward to your entry.
Linette ~ Happy belated birthday! LOL on the young at heart. I keep telling myself what I hear on television — 40 is the new 20 tee hee
Denise ~ hope this contest brings you everything you’re hoping for
I was just talking with someone the other day about how we perceive ourselves and how others see us. I don’t think I look old (I would like to think I still look like I did when I was twenty), but when I see others my age – 37 – I can’t help but wonder if I’m living in a fairy tale.
Kathryn ~ I know what you mean! I went to my 20 year class reunion a couple of years ago and wondered if I wasn’t the proud owner of some sort of carnival mirror – because there was NO way I could possibly be as old as some of the people that were there.
Then it dawned on me, I WAS the youngest in my class — REALLY LOL
Nice idea. As a freelance writer for two years, I have still a lot to learn. But I am not sure if I am getting any better. I am only 26, perhaps 40 would be the peak time for me to become a good writer. Hmmmm…

Creative thing is to be done. Very nice idea of holding a writing contest. Through this contest many people will able to show their writing talent.
