Going gracefully into Fall – Not!

by Gayla Baer

I am such a spring and summer person. I can’t stand the thought of long gloomy and cold winter days! Sure the autumn colors are beautiful, but they don’t last long enough.

While I’ve dug out my sweatshirts, jeans, fuzzy pajamas and flannel sheets, one of the most difficult things I have to give up are my flip-flops. I can’t stand wearing shoes. It must be the hillbilly in me – who knows?!?! All I can say is I do not go willingly into a pair of winter boots! And I kick and scream the whole way!

The kids and I were out shopping a couple of weekends ago and I found the perfect compromise!

Check these babies out!

I love these slippers! Talk about the perfect solution to my most dreaded sacrifice going into winter.  Now all I can say to winter is, “bring it on baby!

Ohhhh, those look so comfy! I love flip flops and summer sandals, but I also love warm cumfy slippers in the winter. This looks like the best of both worlds!

Those are some serious thong slippers, Gayla!

If they came in brown, with yellow stripes, I’d buy a pair.

@ Linette – they are the absolute BOMB I tell ya!

@ David – I’m sure you’d look adorable in a brown pair with yellow stripes too!

This truly is one of THEE BEST perks of working from home :)

My fiance is the same way about her flip flops. She hates to wear socks and boots or tennis shoes, etc. These look super comfy and soft and I think she would love them. Thanks for sharing.
