I have a confession that has to be made in order to proceed with what I’m about to post — I’m a really big geek. You see, in order to continue with this post, I must first admit that I am a huge fan of The History Channel and The Discovery Channel – because without one of those channels, I wouldn’t have come to this realization — Did you know that the people who tapped the real profit during the gold rush wasn’t the prospectors? In fact, it was the people who were selling the tools that prospectors needed who genuinely reaped the benefits of that era.
Talk about a light bulb going on! Who’d have thunk it?
Then again, I look around at the opportunities that are doing nothing more then taking advantage of the dreams of people who long to work from home or those who are grasping at any straw in hopes of finding a means to make a living via the net. Opportunities that are pandering tools that are available entirely for free or worse, a modern day technological chain letter!
Those who know me, know that I live in the Midwest. In the midst of a society that’s left depressed by the down sizing of the big three automakers. I see firsthand parents reaching out to any opportunity and hollow promise of easily obtainable wealth.
Frankly I find it disheartening to know that so many people can take advantage of others and then lay their heads down at night. How is that possible?
Over the last several months, I’ve encountered some of the most wonderful people I could have ever hoped to meet. Many of these folks are revealing their personal success stories. In those success stories they’re including an abundance of information and tools to help anyone willing to learn, the knowledge needed to become successful online.
In a perfect world, I would serve as a traffic cop on the net. I would direct people toward valid information, websites, blogs and opportunities and run a huge roadblock right in front of every cheat and pickaxe salesman out there.
With that said, I’d love for readers to share some of the most valuable tools they’ve found or even the most disappointing tools they’ve subscribed to.
Sometimes learning through the successes or disappointments of others is the best way to combat the frauds and increase the positive in any sector.
