I’ve been Tagged — Why on Earth Do I Blog?

I’ve traced this meme as far back as Liz Strauss who was asked “Why on Earth do you blog?” Now I’ve been asked the same question by George Manty of Can I Make Big Money Online.

If you are tagged then you can write a post with a link back to the person who has tagged you, write a list of 5 reasons why you are blogging and finally, add a list of 5 other bloggers you want to tag with this question.

~*~*~*~*~*~ Why On Earth Do I Blog? ~*~*~*~*~*~

1. Family ~ I was a single mom for several years and my greatest hope was to find a means of making a living online that would afford me the luxury of spending all the time with my kiddos that I could. Blogging made that possible! Now I have a husband and four kids and blogging allows my life to be more full of family then work.

2. Community ~ I have several blogs and the purpose for each varies to great degree. From health seduction, support and awareness to providing a free tool that could help make other parents dreams of staying at home a reality. And being in a location where job loss is so great, I wanted to make my own little contribution to locals to help keep them on their feet.

3. Knowledge ~ Through blogging, I learn more about my Community, State, Country and World and all the amazing people in it!

4. Profit ~ I’m a Work at Home Mom so naturally profit is going to be a large part of this total equation. I’ve been very blessed that way.

5. Legacy ~ I think we’d all like to feel like we’ve left our mark in this world somehow. Through blogging, I occasionally feel like I’ve touched someone’s life in a way that’s made their world just a little bit brighter.

And of course friendships! I’ve cultivated some of the most wonderful friendships through blogging. Sometimes I feel as though I could go anywhere in the world and find someone I know.

There you have it! All the reasons why I blog!
