I’ve Got a Bad Case of Spring Cleaning Fever

I don’t know about you, but I’m so over winter I can’t stand it.

Today the temperatures are topping out in the upper 70′s and it’s just about time for me to start digging into my house for the Annual Spring Cleaning Event. My family can hardly wait!

One of my very favorite tips I learned on my own was to utilize the family trampoline for much more then just to jump on.

The trampoline makes a great spot to clean window blinds and other household items that need to be washed flat and air dried.

Update:  I don’t Jump on the trampoline to clean the blinds, I lay them out there to clean them :)   Thanks to a Deanna for pointing that little error out :)

Once the Spring cleaning is complete – it makes for a nice place to escape for a bit and read a good book.

Anyone out there have any great tips that will make my the families job much easier?

Wow, it looks like you have done some spring cleaning here too!!!

I need all the spring cleaning tips I can get. Cleaning is not my most favorite activity.

Hehe-As I began to read the tip about the trampoline, I was reading it as you were JUMPING on the trampoline to clean your blinds…LOL

I started playing with my site as well. Here’s a tip for the kids room. All it takes is a bathtub of water and a cap full of bleach to disinfect all those plastic toys. Do this while they are in school though, or you’ll never hear the end of it. :)

I’ve been spring cleaning my garden more than my house, but I am working on my craft room. Here’s a tip I discovered after my fifth trip to move something somewhere else. Make three boxes with you whenever you go to clean a room – one for trash, one for things that belong in another room and one for donations or your garage sale pile. That way, you can just toss stuff into the box and you don’t lose time carrying a few things out of the room and coming back to find you should have grabbed that pasta machine from when you were working with clay, too.
