Justin Boots – Cowpokes & A Customer Tale

Last week my son began working is first job ever! He works 40 hours a week for Swindell Farm Equipment. While it may be his dream job, working around tractors and farming – it still can’t be too easy working in the extreme heat we’ve had recently.

When he got his first paycheck he was SO excited. This was the first time he’s made over $200 on. his. own. and he wanted to do something very special with the money.

He wound up doing two very special things!

One – he took me out to dinner for my birthday to my very favorite BBQ smokehouse

and

Two – he bought himself a very fine pair of Justin boots. Expensive too I might add.

Justin-Logo He bought his boots at a local “cowboy” store called Cowpokes. It has been his favorite store to shop for clothes for several years. We rarely get to shop there because the prices are kind of high, but he had worked hard for his money and that to me was call for him to spoil himself a little.

Saturday he and his papaw went shopping. Papaw got him new tires for his Blazer and then took him to Cowpokes to blow is first paycheck.

He toiled over all the Justin boots and finally settled one one pair. He said he tried them on and told the salesman the boots were a little tight, but the salesman told him the leather would stretch.

Under normal circumstances, that’s true – but my son has a very high instep that mama knows too well. I suppose I should have warned him before he went shopping.

He wore his boots all weekend and then to work on Monday. He came home bragging about how comfortable the boots had been all day.

I was tickled for him to be so proud like that.

When he started to put his boots back on to go out to the barn, tragedy struck.

One of the boots ripped out all around the inside lining.

He was horrified, hurt, angry and downright devastated.

It was as if he had just watched his entire first paycheck ripped to shreds.

I  told him as long as he had his receipt, we could take them back.

Unfortunately he placed FAR too much trust in Justin boots and had not kept the receipt.

Being a mom, I took a chance and called Cowpokes. I explained the situation to them and they were so gracious and kind. They told me I could bring him and the boots back in and they would make it right.

I know having a receipt is a MUST in most cases. So I especially appreciate the customer service provided by Cowpokes to stand behind a brand they represent.

This Gadget Mom has become a lifelong fan of both because their actions have made my son very happy!

That always happens to me when I get rid of the receipt, I always end up needing it after I throw it away. Good to hear they were so gracious at Cowpokes. I love when customer service is actual custom service.
