When Mingle360 came up with the MingleStick and the online software for centralizing your address book that enables you to manage your social and professional network – I’m pretty sure they had visions of conferences and tradeshows in mind. When I was told about the MingleStick, my first thought was a way of organizing all my personal contacts that are associated with my kids, church and local groups and organizations I belong to. Then with all the connections I’m making on Facebook and Classmates.com, I realized what a valuable tool the MingleStick would be to have at my next class reunion.
The MingleStick is a USB device that allows two users to exchange contact details wirelessly. The collected information on the stick can be uploaded to an online application website on Mingle360.
Not to worry though, all your information is completely safe. The MingleStick only allows the exchange of very basic information that is then loaded onto your computer. Once you’ve loaded the information, the person you are attempting to connect with must authorize you as a contact in order for you to see more detailed information.
Having two teenage boys with very busy social lives makes my life the perfect pile of chaos for MingleStick to begin organizing.
Obviously I’m all about gadgets and gadgets that make my life more simple and organized is always a good thing.
Have you tried the MingleStick? If you were to get one, what sorts of things do you do where the MingleStick might come in handy? I’m thinking carpool like a rock star!
