DriveSafe.ly, a free mobile application that reads text messages (SMS) and emails aloud and automatically responds, will officially launch on September 23, 2009. Certainly this would have to render the habit less dangerous, but I think the mere ability to turn a phone on and off while driving is too much for teens to handle at times.

“Reducing the danger of texting while driving” seems like an oxymoron. The distraction caused by texting, changing a CD, talking on a cell phone, etc. is the real danger. Any distraction while driving is a bad one.
Now this would really make some accidents less and also everyone will finally get to know what exactly is defensive driving.
Its really more important to the disable people than us, as we also can utilize this but disable people who are blind can get gr8 help from this.
