Monitor Your Electricity Bill

by Gayla Baer

Black & Decker has a Power Monitor that can be simply installed by a home owner, which will allow them to monitor the monthly electric bill. The monitoring is accomplished by connecting the sensor directly to your electric meter and entering data from your electric bill to the digital monitor. The data is sent wireless to a monitor that the home owner keeps inside their home.

Black & Decker company gives clear and precise directions for the connection and use of the monitor the directions are as simple as setting your alarm clock.

The Power Monitor is the size of a large remote control and can be used to calculate the use of electricity by appliances in your home by using a button that is labeled (Tare). For instance your LCD TV uses $0.02 while an electric kettle uses $0.20 you can also turn your microwave on and the meter will go from $0.10 to $0.25 per hour.

While we are all more hesitant today about the money we spend, a gadget like the Power Monitor could be a helpful tool for keeping our budget under control.
