My Lil’ Reminder

By: Gayla Baer

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I’m usually not a big fan of those “As Seen on TV” ads but last weekend one really caught my eye! My Lil’ Reminder

My Lil’ Reminder is the digital voice recorder that records without tape, then reminds you later.

The price is only $9.99 plus $6.99 processing and handling.

Plus, with each My Lil’ Reminder you order, you will automatically receive a second BONUS My Lil’ Reminder for FREE! All you pay is an additional $6.99 to cover the processing and handling!

The Lil’ Reminder clips easily anywhere.

Leave one at home on the fridge as a family message center.

Keep one in the car for those thoughts that ONLY pop in your head while you’re driving and then fly out the window before you get home with it.

Get one for your kids so they can record homework assignments

This is a GREAT gift for the bloggers in your family too! God knows I’d love to have about 20 of them!

It’s not something that’s hit Amazon yet, but if someone were to find a way to become an affiliate to this product, let me know. I’m personally going to order one for everyone on my shopping list this Christmas.

For now, find My Lil’ Reminder on TV Product Direct

UPDATE (12/12/06) – Apparently there are many people who are unhappy with the My Lil’ Reminder.

I’d like to point out that it’s a small device that’s simply there to allow you to record a “reminder” not a take corporate notes or record an entire phone conversation.

If you want or are looking for something that records minutes rather than seconds, try a micro-recorder.

Do you atually have one that you use? It looks good but I’d like to hear reviews from an actual owner/user.

  2. titus santelli says:

how much data will fit on the reminder….more than one message?

how do you erase …..just reord over?

  3. Gayla says:

I’m not sure of the exact specs, but I’m not one that needs to record entire meetings or anything. Just a short memo every now and again.

I will be ordering mine sometime next week.

  4. Bruce says:

These little recorders allow 60 sec. of record time. If you google LilReminder you can find them out there for $9.95 for set of two, if you buy 3 sets. Not sure of the S/H though.

  5. Rosella says:

I really need to know if it’s possible to record more than one message. I would like to buy it for my father who has Parkinson’s Desease, but I’m sure he needs to record more than one message at a time.

  6. Lisa says:

I’m with Rosella on that, I’ve been searching high and low for a review on this product to find out if it will hold more than one message. My mom puts things in places and forgets, then blames my dad for moving her stuff. I thought this gadget would be a perfect solution, but not if only takes one message at a time.

  7. Jeanne says:

I just received My Lil Reminder. You can only record ONE message! When you record another, it deletes the previous one.
When I ordered it, I was asked if I wanted an upgrade and they might hold more than one message.
I’m sending it back. We all have more than one reminder we need to remember.
The voice record is good..nice and clear. Too bad it only holds one 20 second message

  8. elvisfan says:

thanks, Jeanne, you’ve saved us all from ordering something that is really inferior.

  9. Lisa says:

Thanks Jeanne, that’s all I wanted to know. What a waste. Sorry you had to tolerate the inconvenience :( Have a great holiday!

  10. Kay says:

I’m waiting for My Lil Reminder to come in the mail. It’s been a month. They asked when I ordered if I wanted to upgrade for $9.99-I clicked yes.Well,I clicked yes to 20 seconds more tape time and it was an additional $9.99 each plus $6.99 each for S&H.My end bill is $43.00 for something I thought might be cute. It’s going back-when ever I do get it.There’s another site where you can get the deluxe set cheaper-$9.99 plus S&H.I might try that.Kay

  11. Mark says:

Be warned! I unfortunately ordered My Lil Reminder before reading these posts. I ordered the base unit, advertised as $9.99 for two, and was charged $23.97 . . . Over 2 times the quoted price! S&H and tax, I guess, but that’s ridiculous! I may still keep the things as stocking stuffers and because I really hate the hassle I expect to get in returning them. Not the money that bothers me, it’s the rip-off! So again, BE WARNED and for sure, buyer beware!

  12. Kay says:

Go to Market Place.net.You will get a much better price and they tell you what shipping is straight out.No gimmicks with this one. When the one I ordered from Lil Reminder shows up ,I’m not going to accept it.They charged my account Nov. 7th and I still haven’t recieved it.I called my credit card company and had them remove the charges. He said he’s had quite a few calls on this item.Hope this helps.

  13. Barbara Johnson says:

I saw this on TV today and was going to order it. It looked so cool. I’m very glad that I went and looked at this website before placing my order, because now I’m not interested. Thank you all so much.

  14. joann bennett says:

    dear lil reminder company,

it seems as though there are a lot of negative feedback on this item. it looks like it would be very helpful, but the recording time is not enough and i need to record more than one reminder at a time without the previous ones being erased. i am sending my order back for a full refund. your ad states buy one and get one free for a total of $9.99 and a upgrade of $5.00 for more memory on recording. you failed to disclose it would only give you 20 more seconds. i thought my charge for this purchase would be $14.99 plus shipping and handling. you debited my account for $33.96, how you came up with that figure i do not know. i want a full refund to my account. you are loosing a lot of customers with your deceiving advertising.

  15. Kay says:

A phone # to reach them is 1-203-567-1211.Good Luck!

  16. Clint says:

Thanks for the info. Every time I get involved with this sort of thing I swear I will never do it again. You have saved me from myself. Thanks!!!

  17. Carrie Cox says:

I am glad that I found this website. I was looking into ordering one for my father for Christmas, but like many others, I am not longer going to do so.
    Thanks to everyone who submitted.

  18. Joe Case says:

I’d check into the features on your mobile phone before buying one of these. Many cell phones these days have a built-in voice memo feature.

  19. Brandy says:

Thanks for the info. I had looked at the website for recording time and, of course, it’s not there. It’s horrible that they compare it to a $100 recorder that can record hours when this only records 60 secs of quick notes.

However, I can still see it as a useful gadget, as I am a militant person about reporting litterbugs and smoking vehicles in my state. I may get one to easily note the required info to make these reports to the web sites.

I still need a long recorder, though.

  20. Wanda Evitts says:

I ordered My little reminder and when I got my bank statement my ending bill from my debit card was $109.83 and can’t get hold of company and have been waiting for a week for a reply for my email to them. BEWARE

  21. Marian Garfield says:

I am another victim of Lil Reminder. I ordered 2 sets of “buy one get one free” for $9.99 plus S/H. That should have been $19.98. I never got them, so I took the opportunity to upgrade for longer memory, and buy one set instead of two. I emailed them and got a reply that they needed an order number to trace it. Then it came, with no shipping notice and no order number. I emailed again and now they don’t reply. I want info on how to return one set.

I just got my charge statement and to my HORROR I was charged $67.92!!!!! The phone number on the charge bill does not get me through to them.

Also three were able to be opened to take out the paper from the battery compartment. One had such a tight little screw, that even with an eyeglass screwdriver the screw became stripped and it is impossible to open. I am planning on calling my charge company and contest the charge. I will send the entire order back. I will pay my own postage and you can be sure it won’t be anywhere near what they charge. What a rip off. I will contact the Better Business Bureau as well.
