The hardest person for me to buy for is my (adukt) daughter. She returns everything people buy her and I can never find her something she keeps.

My Father is the hardest person to buy for. He really has everything that he needs and it’s next to impossible to surprise him with something new. He loves tools and has his motto is that no man can ever have enough tools but I can’t think of one tool that he doesn’t have. This year he’s getting the standard pajamas and a gift certificate to Northern Tool.

The hardest person to buy a gift for is my Mom. Whenever I get her something she says-you shouldn’t do that, save your money, etc……And she means it! She takes all the fun out of buying her a gift because I know she will complain about it and I will feel like I am in trouble. WHY does she do this?!

Jackee December 6, 2009 at 4:50 pm

My father is the most difficult to shop for. Whenever he wants something, he just gets it for himself. It doesn’t leave much for the rest of us.

Aaron B from IL December 6, 2009 at 4:59 pm

My dad is impossible to shop for. My siblings and I usually try to buy gifts for our parents that both mom and dad will use, but the problem is that they usually buy something if they want it so there is not much left that they want but don’t have

Susan Smith December 6, 2009 at 5:57 pm

Carol Mathesen December 6, 2009 at 8:35 pm

sal williams December 6, 2009 at 9:27 pm

Of everyonr O know, I am hardest to buy gifts for. I’d be easy to buy for if people would just buy me book gift certificates but they never do. I love Comice pears. They are a great gift. These are fine people to contribute to food banks. Great idea. Great giveaway. Thanks and happy holidays.

Amanda December 6, 2009 at 9:37 pm

My father in law is the hardest person on my list to buy for. He is one of those people who doesn’t “like” anything. He has very few hobbies, doesn’t watch television, and is really picky

Lisa G. December 6, 2009 at 11:41 pm

My mom is the hardest to shop for each year. I want to get her something so special each year and I spend months trying to find that one special gift that will wow her because she really deserves it!

barbara wright December 7, 2009 at 12:49 am

My father is really hard to buy for. He gets mad when people spend money on things he doesn’t think are worth it. He’s a diabetic, so I can’t bake him cookies, and he doesn’t have any hobbies.

Tara W December 7, 2009 at 12:58 am

My youngest brother is the hardest to buy for – he’s extremely picky.

sheila k. December 7, 2009 at 1:22 am

My mother is just the worst. Whatever she gets — even if she asked specifically for it — she returns for store credit or money. If that doesn’t work, she throws it into her “regifting pile” which she draws from through the year(s) to keep from spending her own money for gifts. When my dad was alive, she had him in tears — literally — each Christmas. She would yell at him all Christmas day about whatever gift it was then return it. If he built something for her — and he was a master craftsman that other’s paid to build items — she would cry and yell and scream because she couldn’t return it and get store credit. She’s regifted me items that I’ve given her years back — she just couldn’t remember who she got the gifts from.

Carolsue December 7, 2009 at 1:44 am

My husband is impossible to get things for. He does like food gifts though, so this would be great. He has everything he wants and hates to spend money on gifts. If there’s something he wants, he’ll get it himself rather than suggest one of us get him that as a gift. Oh well.
