Being the pet lover and dog owner I am, I wanted to make sure I had a system in place before I moved that would protect my three dogs.
I called around to get pricing on an Invisible Fence – but for 1 to 1 1/2 acres it was going to be SO costly, I just couldn’t justify that kind of an expense.
As much as I love my dogs, I can’t see spending more on a fence then I spent on my kids braces.
I contacted my friends on Facebook to see if they could help me find something that would work just as good at a fraction of the cost.
My friend and fellow writer Linette of Home and Garden Cafe told me about the PetSafe Wireless Containment System. She shared her experience – I felt comfortable and secure investing in the same system.
I found my system at Menard’s for $279 and the extra collar for $79.
The setup took about half an hour and training has been a breeze.
The one problem I have had is something in the master bedroom seems to be tripping one of my girls collars and she gets shocked.
After it happened the first time, I made a comment on Facebook about the unexplained shock – and much to my satisfaction, and certainly unexpected – I received an email from a representative from PetSafe asking if they could help me work out the glitch.
That’s what I call GREAT customer service!
If you’re looking for a safe and much more affordable solution to an invisible fence – I highly recommend PetSafe!

Hi. Is it just like an invisible fence for pets especially for dogs? thanks.
How much of shock does it give your pet? Does it stop working after they pass a certain distance from the main unit?
Havahart Wireless offers a similar product. Their radial-shape wireless dog fence works one and a half football fields in all direction…that is a lot of ground for a dog to run and play
As you said about Wireless System at Menard’s for $279. This was to cover 11 acers area for Dogs and give them shock to return back?
