That is a great idea of a gift to give someone. I agree and think that in the long run a collectible coin (or even better a bullion coin) would be a gift that would keep on giving in the long run. I think that many parents and grandparents have caught a part of this idea by buying coins (like State quarters, new pennies) for their kids/grandkids, but that it would be much wiser to do something more along the lines you were saying with silver or even gold!
collectible coins are quite expensive and we have some of it that date backs from the 1800s *
my father have lots and lots of collectible coins that are very precious and rare ‘;,
I too gifted silver this christmas, it took all the stress out of gift buying ! Everyone got an ounce of silver, and a genuine 100 trillion dollar Zimbabwe reserve note, as a reminder that paper is never real money.
Silver coins are great gifts that keep on giving as the silver price increases.
The ideal gift would have both the metal content of silver or gold and some collectible value. it is not hard to find those coins, particularly at Daves Collectible Coins
