I know there are a lot of people who are going to be cooking and taking food to family dinners over the holiday season, right? How many times do you get there and find the food is simply lukewarm?
Well, I have an answer to your dilemma the Sterno Dinner Kit. This awesome solution was helpful in keeping my macaroni and cheese hot and bubbling – my sweet potato casserole was still pippin hot and when we were finished and ready for cleanup, it was easy to fold up and pack away ready for the Christmas dinner. I’m serious! Do you know that means no more luke warm Mac-n-cheese? How exciting is that? The trays use standard tin pans which equates to low cost. Of course the additional purchase will be the cans made of sterno gel fuel that are used to heat the buffet trays. They are easily put out simply by placing the lid on it.
The Full size Buffet kit (8-piece set) comes with:
1 reusable wire folding rack
1 full-size aluminum water pan
2 aluminum food pans
2 cans Sterno gel fuel
plastic serving utensils
The buffet dinner set also comes in a half size (4-piece set)
These can be found at Walmart as of September 2009 and everthing but the food can be found in one convenient box.

I just used a couple of those for Thanksgiving. The sterno didn’t keep the food hot, but it did keep it warm enough.
