Something amazing happened on the way to papa’s house today. It suddenly occurred to my husband and I that there is such a thing as volume control for kids. Now, before anyone jumps to conclusions, we have tested this theory many times, only today it dawned on us, exactly what we were doing and we can honesty say that we have conducted an in depth parentific (that’s scientific, parent style) study and invite you to conduct your own study just the same.
It’s amazing! Simply amazing I tell ya!
Here’s what you do, when you’re driving down the road with the kids in the backseat, turn the radio on at a nice level so that you can hear it comfortably. Now after a while you’ll notice the volume of the radio stays the same but the volume of the kids seems to steadily increase. Now, at some point and totally out of the blue as far as the kids are concerned, just reach over and shut the radio off quickly.
It’s amazing. When you turn the radio off, you also turn the kids off.
We were in the car for a good hour today and tried this several times. My husband told me that this is something that must be blogged. I bet the auto industry had NO idea they had such power over the volume level of children let alone the ability to actually shut them off.
