Why using free content articles is a bad idea

by Gayla Baer

I’ve seen a rise in the number of bloggers using articles they’ve picked up via free content websites lately.  Though I can certainly understand having a bad case of writer’s block and needing to lean on various options to provide content on your site, I have to say, it’s probably better to not post anything at all then to offer up something that’s considered duplicate content.

Google explains duplicate content and the damage it can do to your site, ranking and credibility.

Given that it can cause that much damage, can you imagine what using duplicate content could be doing to your Adsense earnings?

What are your thoughts on free content websites?

Have you used them?  What was/is your experience?
