Window Cleaning Tip

by Gayla Baer

After cleaning your windows with your choice cleaner try taking a clean rag and dipping into rubbing alcohol.  Wring out as much as you can – wipe your windows with them.

No streaks even when the sun shines!!!

Works great on mirrors and any other like surface you want sparkling clean!

Another tip for getting windows clean is to wipe your windows in one direction on one side of the window and another direction on the other. This way is you see streaks once you are done, you will know which side of the window they are on.

That is a good tip, works really well on inside of car windscreen and helps keep it smear free for safer driving.

Thanks, I have always had a problem when I did my car. The streaks would never go away no matter what kind of product i used.

It seems counter-intuitive but using a newspaper instead of a cloth/rag actually gives better results. You’d imagine the ink on the newsprint would smear on the glass and make things worse but it doesn’t!

Another great way to clean glass is with 0000 steel wool. Make sure its 0000.
You can spot clean and buff out streaks. It won’t scratch tempered glass when fabricating debris is present either.

Not a bad idea. I’ll give it a try. Anything to help keep things streak free.

I’ve owned a window cleaning company for 9 years and the best way to get no streaks is to use a squeegee bar none. It takes a little practice but once you get it down, you will have clean windows in no time. A squeegee also works great on mirrors!
