Time added Craig Newmark to its Time 100 list of top business titans.
Craig Newmark founded the “little bulletin board that could” in ’95; Craigslist now gets 18 million visitors a month.
I remember when Craigslist was only serving the Bay Area alone. It’s been interesting to see such a ‘simple’ site maintain it’s simplicity and grow to the empire it’s become.
This is a true testament that you don’t have to have all the bells and whistles to cultivate success — you just have to have a desire to give your own project 110%.

I adore craigslist. I remember the “early days” also when it just hit a few cities. I’m your typical “Perfectionist Mom”, so it is nice to be reminded that sometimes simple and”ugly” get the job done better than anything else. lol.
